Trader Joe's Just Launched a Massive Cookie That Weighs Almost a Pound

You should go to Trader Joe's if you want to find fun, holiday foods. The popular grocery store chain has been decorating the aisles with holiday-themed items in preparation for the holidays. A new, big sweet treat has buyers excited.

Customers loved Trader Joe's' new holiday Shareable Shortbread French Butter Cookie so much that they went on Reddit to share their thoughts.

This dinner plate-sized cookie from the grocery store chain is their version of a broyé de Poitou, a French shortbread dessert that is usually broken with a hammer at party or special event. It costs $7.99.

This cookie is made with lemon juice, sugar, egg, sliced almonds, sea salt, and wheat flour, just like the last one.  The company Trader Joe's says that concentrated butter is butter that has had its water and proteins taken out, giving it a "breathtakingly buttery flavor."

"Can be shared? Ha! Someone on Reddit wrote, "All mine!!!!" Someone else who liked this cookie said it was "diabolically good," which was close.

Trader Joe's says that the cookie goes well with French vanilla coffee and fresh fruit. That being said, there are a lot of options, from ice cream to milk.

"That's about the same as twelve cookies." "It's still pricey, but it's a good product," someone said. "Also it has no artificial ingredients or fillers which most manufacturers use these days to drive down costs," a different person said.

If you want to get the Shareable Shortbread French Butter Cookie, you'll need to act quickly because it says so on the Trader Joe's website.

Marketing executive Tara Miller said on the most recent episode of the "Inside Trader Joe's" show that the grocery store chain now has 469 seasonal items, 86 of which are new to the store. Miller did say, though, that these probably won't be available after the New Year.
